I found lumps under my arm the other day and phoned V. She arranged for me to come into Clinic to see her and consultant. V agreed there was something there - will have to wait and see consultant. S came with me to clinic - good to have her there as am worried.
Saw a consultant who I hadnt seen before, he never even introduced himself, or the student that was with him. Asked me abruptly what the problem was, had a quick rough feel, and told me he couldnt feel anything, it was too soon after treatment for there to be more cancer, and he was not even going to do an ultrasound - even though it was a one stop clinic. I was gobsmacked and just looked at S. Before he left, I told him I was not happy and insisted on at least an ultrasound. He finally agreed but said it would be done as an out patient, even though they had the facilitites there and then - again i was gobsmacked and mad as hell.
He really was a complete asshole with absoultely no people skills, and should not be seeing someone who has cancer, as he had no bloody compassion what so ever.GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
This is my story, as a 42 year old, young woman, living with terminal breast cancer.
